2/9/10 - A new update for zing! and zing! free has been submitted. We created a new laser that sounds oddly familiar to that of a popular sci-fi movie. Watch out for it in the app store.
The person on the "Shock" button is none other than our designer Kat, who was the only one willing to volunteer a shock face for the camera. She also is the freaky looking clown for the "Evil Laugh" button. Originally, there was a photo of Dick Cheney, but the Apple guys didn't approve of that.
The entire zing! staff searched high and low on the internet for a "bow chicka bow wow" sound, but couldn't find anything. So, Jason asked his friend Goh Nakamura to bust out his bass guitar and record himself playing "bow chicka bow wow" several times. After we picked our favorite "bow chicka" sound, Kat threw in some drums and synth sounds.
Several of the Human theme sounds were recorded by CEO Jason: Evil Laugh, Drum, and Crickets.
The Human Shock and Human Evil Laugh sounds were recorded by Rita.
The Robot Evil Laugh sound was recorded by Kat, who later altered the recording to make it sound more "robot-y".
